If you’re not comfortable showing off all your legs, I totally get it.
Not all of us are comfortable wearing super short booty shorts, hot shorts, whatever you want to call them.
And maybe you want to wear something that’s a little bit more easy, breezy, but still feel like you can walk outside and the 90 degree weather.
Today, my first option is to look for a pair of crops or even like a Capri, but a cropped denim is having a super big moment right now. And you can look for fun details and different headlines on the bottom. This pair is actually a cropped pair by mother denim and it has a kick flare.
It’s a really slight kick out at the bottom just to give it a little bit more fun factor. They’re doing all sorts of things when it comes to jeans right now on a crop, you can look for friends, you can look for a high low hem at the bottom, lots of different details even different distressing on there.
Maybe look for something that’s going to add in a little bit of your personality, or say a wide leg pant. Whether it’s a denim or another material like a linen twill material. Anything like a wide leg is going to have more breathable factors to it.
This particular one too has an undone hem, just kind of add a little bit more feature to the jeans themselves a little bit more flow to the air. So that’s option number one looking for something with a Capri or crop.
The next option is skirts skirts are always going to be something you can wear into the spring and summer and stay cooler, but maybe try something in a pencil skirt. I just happen to grab one that’s actually made out of denim but you can find a pencil skirt out of cotton, any sort of, you know stretchy material if you’re comfortable with that.
Lots of different options here. I just love this one because you can easily pair it with something casual like a T shirt, maybe a graphic print or a slogan t shirt or you can dress it up with a blouse underneath, tuck in a top and then it’s something you could even wear to like a barbecue or even church.
I know for a while I was kind of hesitant to bust out the denim skirts I used to wear them a lot when I was younger and I couldn’t brace the fact that I wanted to get back into denim skirts but something like this with like some distressing on it.
This one is a high waisted one, I feel like I don’t lose my figure is very on trend but still kind of fun. Okay, next option still going in the line of skirts, but pleated skirts are fantastic for the hot weather because they’re so movable and easy breezy, you can feel like you can literally run around in them if you wanted to.
There’s so much movement and ease to the fabric and it’s very, very lightweight. Most pleated skirts are usually like a chiffon type material. They’re very breathable, breathable and easy to wear. I do recommend tucking in your blouse to them so you don’t lose your shape completely, even if you just do a little front tuck it will go a long way.
I grabbed this one with a fun like color blocked print very vibrant for the summer, or even just a simple solid color will do you wonders. This one I happen to have the same color top as what’s in the the skirt itself so you can easily pair something like that with it. I’ve even worn this particular skirt with a bodysuit underneath.
It just kind of depends on what your personal style is and what you’re comfortable wearing.
Alright, what is summer without a pair of shorts. Now again, I know we talked about not wearing like the super short shorts, but maybe try a pair of loose shorts. I grabbed these ones put them on my mannequin, they’re nice and loose, you’re not going to worry about them sticking to you and that way too, you can kind of feel like you’re able to get around and be mobile and then as well.
Then these have the tie friend at the top that’s again gonna help nip you in at the waistline. Help showcase your figure no matter where you’re at and to it’s kind of on trend with a little bit of that paper bag waist style, we’re seeing the paper bag, waist, bottoms, and both pants, skirts, shorts, kind of everything.
Then to beyond shorts, there’s always Bermuda or like a knee length walking shorts. I personally don’t like that style on my body type, I’ve got shorter legs and I feel like they just make me look even shorter when I wear kneeling shorts, but you can find some great options out there for kneeling or even just above the knee a few inches.
That’s what I would suggest whether it’s a denim or twill material. If you are looking for a pair of longer shorts, I would highly suggest to stay away from anything with cleats on the front of it, It’s just going to add like extra girth where you don’t want to add that bulkiness, but you can find a lot of great options. Even some places like Zara and Ann tailor, or the loft have great options for longer shorts.
